Responsible for successful execution of the construction and start-up of the project. Provides leadership to the project staff and all organizations on site. Directs staff in the daily/weekly planning process. Functions as a representative for Black & Veatch in all interactions involving the Owner and Contract. Implements Black & Veatch standards and procedures, develops project specific procedures and allocates resources, and makes decisions in support of project strategies. Update and complete the Construction Execution Plan; review and refine the plan as the project progresses. Direct overall construction effort including coordination of erection activities, suppliers, direct hire craft labor, subcontractors, startup and testing activities, and the owner. Manage overall construction and startup cost to meet established budgets. Review, analyze, and report monthly on project construction budget, schedule, and quality performance and take appropriate action to return the project to plan. Direct implementation of established project controls processes and procedures. Establish and maintain relationships and develop a high level of trust and credibility with clients, owners, alliance partners, craft labor, subcontractors, and suppliers. Lead the site management team and direct implementation of construction management procedures. Direct implementation of project construction Safety & Health and Loss Control procedures and ensure the project meets safety targets. Direct implementation of project quality assurance procedures and ensure the established level of quality is achieved. Direct implementation of project commissioning and testing plan and ensure necessary resources are provided for commissioning. Direct site materials management procedures; approve field purchases, equipment rentals, extra work authorizations, subcontractor progress and final payments, BV time sheets and expense reimbursements. Direct change order management for subcontracts; coordinate with project manager to identify and execute change orders to contract with owner. Direct resolution of back charges, collection of conforming construction records, and other contract closeout activities. Establish site staffing needs and coordinate with Project Manager and construction department to staff the site office. Mentor site staff, promote team building, and maintain morale. Adhere to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with BV policies and contractual commitments. Produce and implement site-specific procedures; identify and assess improvement opportunities that add value. Champion LEAN concepts and continuous improvement efforts; assess and support change management related to improvements; encourage staff to engage in continuous improvement activities. Act as project manager with responsibilities for managing a multi-discipline project team; conduct monthly contractor management meetings; participate in weekly contractor and site coordination meetings. Direct collection of conform-to-construction records and other contract closeout activities. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of experience on similar projects in construction management in a Site Manager role, or no degree with 15+ years experience including 5+ years in a construction management role on similar projects or 3 years as a Site Manager. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) as applicable by law. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years experience on similar projects in conventional generation construction management role with a Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Manager. Self-Perform/Direct Hire Construction experience. Work Environment/Physical Demands

Physical Demands: Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds; stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move and walk long distances in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas; see and hear with or without correction; full range of motion and safety-conscious handling of tools and objects; may work above 5 feet; climb and balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds; up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures.
