Scope of Work

Under the direction of the Manager and/ or Phlebotomy Coordinator, assists in the organization and daily operations of specimen processing and/or the phlebotomy department (Inpatient, Nursing Home Specimen Collection, Patient Service Center-draw stations, In-Office phlebotomy-physician office). This position reports to Manager, Processing Supervisor and/or Phlebotomy Services Supervisor. Qualifications

Required High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Associate's Degree Preferred Bachelor\'s Degree Preferred Medical Assistant, Lab Assistant, or Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy externship. 2 years of relevant experience Two to three years of experience in one of the following: Phlebotomy, Specimen Processing, Laboratory related experience, or Science related degree. Required Supervisor or Leadership experience Preferred CRT-Phlebotomy Technician - NHA National Healthcare Association Upon Hire preferred Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Healthcare Association Upon Hire preferred Or CRT-Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology Upon Hire preferred This job posting is for employment with Corewell Health.
