About The Role
We're looking for our first
Director of Paid Media
at Grüns! In this role, you will lead our paid media strategy, optimize acquisition efforts, and deliver measurable results that drive growth.
We're looking for a sharp, hands-on leader who is analytical and knows paid media inside and out (paid social, YouTube, and paid search). This person will be responsible for overseeing the management of the day-to-day execution and operations of paid media campaigns. You should be obsessed over metrics and details. This isn't just a management role — you'll be in the weeds when needed, and should be able to think through campaign, creative, bid, and performance strategy; not only demonstrating how you think through strategy to your direct reports, but also helping them advance those skillsets.
This role is key to our performance marketing success and will significantly impact company growth, reporting into our VP of Growth.
This role is part of our remote HQ!
We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.
In this role, you will:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day paid media budget allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize performance and ROI. Develop a deeper understanding of attribution across paid channels to guide broader budget allocation and channel strategies Lead a team of three Senior Specialists focused on optimizing campaigns and ads across various platforms, providing mentorship and ensuring high-performance execution of day-to-day operations Stay involved in ad platform operations (social, search, and video/display) to drive campaign success and demonstrate leadership through expertise. Deliver actionable insights to the exec team regarding channel performance, audience behavior, and ad efficacy to inform strategic decision-making. Partner with creative, web, and analytics teams to build scalable, highly efficient funnels.
We're looking for someone who:
Knows how to operate as a CEO of their own domain while knowing how to communicate with stakeholders to drive results Has exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven approach to campaign optimization. Has strong problem-solving skills to diagnose performance issues and implement actionable solutions. Has 7+ years of experience in paid media strategy and execution, with a proven track record of driving results across multiple channels Has 3+ years of management experience leading teams of paid media specialists or similar roles. Has successfully scaled 7-figure ad accounts while maintaining efficiency and growth Is proficient with MTA (Multi-Touch Attribution), incrementality tests, and attribution platforms (e.g., Northbeam, Rockerbox, Triple Whale). Has hands-on experience launching and optimizing campaigns across key ad platforms, including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GMC, YouTube, Shopping/PMax. Has experience running incrementality tests (e.g., Haus) to prove true business impact.
Bonus points for:
Experience working in a start-up environment, embracing a scrappy and resourceful mindset. Canva skills for quick and effective ad creation. Experience working at a subscription company
