AWS is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.
This role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second-source manufacturing for supply resiliency for AI/ML products added to our product roadmap. It will manage the additional supply chain complexity when qualifying suppliers and manufacturing lines during development-to-mass-production transitions. It will deliver component multi-sourcing strategies, pricing, and enable contract manufacturing for the same platforms to ensure supply chain resiliency for our expanding AI/ML roadmap. The role will lead line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development so that at launch, manufacturing capacity is scalable to meet customer needs.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement Mechanical sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
- Understand industry and technology trends.
- Identify key technology trends and drive supplier product roadmaps while executing strategic initiatives.
- Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop negotiation strategies to achieve business objectives and sustainable supplier relationships.
- Provide weekly core-team updates and monthly executive updates; manage vendor escalations related to the category.
- Present to senior leadership via written narratives.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations experience
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations
- Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
