Location: Brandon, FL 33511

Shift: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Sat 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Position: Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) – represents the company to patients and performs phlebotomy and patient service tasks in accordance with established practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, build trust, and ensure a safe, accurate, and professional experience.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor; maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public;

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Flexible schedule with availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience REQUIRED.
• One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.

Additional Details

Must list home city/commute time to jobsite on resume (within 20-25 minutes to site). Rate is based on years of DIRECT PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE as listed in resume. Overlapping roles do not count twice. Refer to Southeast rate card breakdown provided by Broadleaf as applicable. Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite. Availability to work as scheduled and punctual; excessive absenteeism/tardiness may result in termination.
