Job Summary
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist role is an overnight role working 7 on and 7 off, 9pm to 7am.

Required Experience and Education
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an American College of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school of pharmacy.
Experience: 1 year in a hospital setting required for an inpatient position.
Licenses and Certifications: Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) within 30 days; ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding (IV) upon hire; BLS, ACLS courses upon hire or within 6 months of employment.
Preferred
1 year retail experience for retail position.
Job Duties
Performs responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance improvement objectives.
Accurate, thorough, and timely computer order entry; reviews and updates medication profiles.
Reviews medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, duplications, interactions; documents interventions.
Multi‑task and problem‑solve independently; demonstrates good judgment.
Enforces formulary system; participates in cost‑effective pharmaceutical selection.
Communicates drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients; assists with patient education.
Manages technicians and supportive personnel; validates accuracy of medications; audits controlled substances.
Participates in educational programs, new employee orientation, and other training opportunities.
Supports clinical program; monitors target drugs; performs therapeutic monitoring and dosage adjustments.
May interact directly with patients, maintain patient records, and analyze clinical data.
