Position Summary Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist and Practice Manager, the staff Radiation Therapist accurately delivers ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the planned treatment prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. The staff radiation therapist will assist as needed in all aspects of the Radiation Oncology Department functions such as patient care, patient treatment delivery, patient treatment record, radiation safety, quality assurance and patient follow‑up programs. May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy.
Registered in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT and licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health. Must obtain and show proof of License as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch prior to start date if offer is extended.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practices, radiation protection, quality assurance, patient management and care, charges, basic dosimetry and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of recent radiation therapy experience preferred.
Experience using ARIA or IMPAC Varian and CT simulation equipment preferred.
HDR brachytherapy experience preferred.

Pay Range $67.47 - $76.01 /hour
