Electrical Harness Design Engineer - Onsite (Tucson, AZ / Decatur, IL)

Desirable Qualifications
Extensive experience in Creo, Teamcenter, and Electric lines (harness/cabling) routing tools
Experience in reading electrical schematics
Strong communication, initiative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Attention to details & quality
Team collaboration
High degree of mechanical aptitude along with a hands‑on approach
Strong knowledge of GD&T
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
5+ years of experience
Responsibilities
Design wire harness and cable routings, support detailing, and check prints.
Design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
Lead design reviews.
Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
Collaboration with suppliers.
Support, cost rollups, FMEA, TFCs, supplier collaboration.
Project‑level coordination (liaison) and technical expertise.
Manage interactions with the Electrical Integration team (offshore/onsite) as well as cross‑functional engineering and product engineering teams.
Manage task list, drive execution, prioritize, and reschedule tasks to ensure optimized output for customers with efficient resource management.
Provide expertise on site, collaborate on designs, decisions, and reviews with the Electrical Integration team.
Check, verify, and approve all work to ensure quality of the output is consistent with commitments and customer expectations.
Provide on‑site hands‑on assistance when needed, including trips to machines for troubleshooting, testing, fit‑up, build support.
Participate in efforts to improve overall Electrical Integration team knowledge by sharing experiences and knowledge.
