We’re looking for an experienced
Lead QA Automation Engineer
with deep expertise in
Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium
to design and lead our automation testing initiatives. This role will drive quality engineering standards, develop robust automation frameworks, and ensure seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines for scalable and reliable product delivery.
The ideal candidate is a
hands‑on technical leader
who can architect automation solutions, mentor QA teams, and collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to deliver high‑quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end test automation strategy, ensuring scalable and maintainable frameworks across multiple web applications.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
Establish best practices for automation and performance testing.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Mentor QA engineers and conduct code reviews for automation scripts.
Collab with developers, product managers, and DevOps to identify quality risks early in the SDLC.
Manage test environments, data setup, and configuration for regression and functional testing.
Report test results and ensure traceability of requirements through testing coverage.
Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, metrics, and tooling.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of overall QA and software testing experience.
5+ years of hands‑on experience in test automation using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
Strong experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and test reporting tools (Allure, TestNG, Mocha, Jest).
Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, or Locust).
Previous experience mentoring QA teams or leading cross‑functional quality initiatives.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
