Security Officer - Financial Front Desk Monitor
in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, providing outstanding customer service while assisting with access control and security‑related procedures. You will help deter unwanted incidents by maintaining a professional presence, managing entry or exit points, and utilizing computer or tablet systems for visitor management. What You’ll Do
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies at the front desk of a financial institution location.
Monitor access to the premises, verify identification, and issue visitor passes as needed to help deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and escalating issues when necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs at the front desk.
Communicate and collaborate with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security‑related matters and/or emergency response activities.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while stationed at the front desk to help deter potential issues and support a secure environment.
Minimum Requirements
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a security‑related role.
Must be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
