About the Role We are looking for a strategic and results-driven
Account / Event Manager
to join our growing team. The position will consist of managing existing client relationships, overseeing event execution, new business development, cultivating client relationships and ensuring the overall success of our client partners. This person serves as the main liaison between clients, facilities, and internal operations teams, ensuring seamless communication and flawless event delivery.
Event Planning & Execution
Initiate and follow through with event logistics, vendor management, budget tracking, execution, and post-event analysis of each event
Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments. Assists in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or service's needs.
Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing quotes, and RFP responses tailored to client needs and potential prospects.
Negotiate and secure new and existing business contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements to drive annual revenue growth.
Sales Pipeline Management; Build and maintain a strong pipeline through research, networking, and industry events.
Client Engagement; Attend trade shows, site visits, and networking events to foster relationships and uncover new business.
Coordination with Freight Carriers, Specialty Furnishing Companies, Audio Visual contractors and EAC's.
Operational Management
Collaborate with operations team to ensure seamless execution of pre-show, on-site, and post-show operations.
Coordinate labor calls with operations team, site visits, and logistical planning to help forecast and streamline event setup.
Oversee all event documentation, including work orders, load list coordination with operations team, and production outlines.
Provide on-site event support, ensuring smooth execution and resolving last-minute challenges.
On-Site Supervision; Manage event logistics on-site and uphold client expectations.
Qualifications (Some preferred)
3+ years of experience in event management, trade show production, account management, or hotel/hospitality.
Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects/events simultaneously.
Manage budgets and have experience negotiating with vendors.
Working knowledge of the principles of event facility management, services and equipment.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Strong Microsoft Office skills. Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Direct experience working with a General Services Contractor (GSC), exhibitor services, or event logistics.
Familiarity with industry regulations, union jurisdictions, and show floor operations.
Experience conducting client-facing capability presentations and proposal walk-throughs.
Understanding of floor plan (CAD) layouts, labor coordination, and production timelines.
General understanding of freight logistics, including coordination with carriers, material handling, drayage, and bills of lading.
Communication skills both verbal and written.
Planning and interpersonal skills.
Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
