Senior QA Test Automation Engineer - REMOTE

NTT DATA North America is looking for an experienced test automation engineer based in Glendale, Arizona (remote work available).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web and API layers using Selenium with Java and TestNG.

Automate functional, regression, and smoke test cases for insurance applications, including Policy, Billing, Claims, and Portals.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).

Implement data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid test automation frameworks following best coding practices and design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).

Develop and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured, Postman, or Swagger.

Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to implement shift-left testing and ensure quality early in Agile sprints.

Contribute to performance, security, and accessibility testing as part of the overall quality assurance strategy.

Perform root cause analysis on automation test failures to ensure framework stability and consistent results.

Maintain and manage test repositories, source control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket), and ensure traceability through Jira and Xray.

Generate test execution reports and dashboards using Allure, Extent Reports, or Jenkins dashboards.

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables while collaborating effectively with both technical and business teams.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of strong experience in Test Automation for web and API testing.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, and Rest Assured.

Solid understanding of CI/CD integration with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Strong knowledge of Maven/Gradle, XML, JSON, and properties configuration.

Proficient in version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).

Experienced with reporting tools like Allure, Extent Reports, or similar.

Familiarity with Chrome DevTools, browser drivers, and headless execution setups.

Exposure to containerization and cloud environments such as Docker, AWS, or Azure.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with active sprint participation.

Nice to Have (But Not a Must)

Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, specifically Auto and Home lines.

Knowledge of test management tools such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence.

Exposure to performance and security testing frameworks.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both business and technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation initiatives.

Additional Information Travel: Minimal; primarily remote work with occasional client or team interactions.

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
