Policy and Systems Engagement Coordinator Join to apply for the Policy and Systems Engagement Coordinator role at DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Under the direction of the Policy Director, the coordinator will support the policy agenda and engagement with member programs and stakeholders, engage key systems to develop and enhance coordinated services for survivors of domestic violence in Washington, DC, and coordinate with partner agencies. The position will participate in district‑wide work groups and task forces, provide training and technical assistance to stakeholders, and represent the Coalition at events.

Responsibilities

Participate in district‑wide work groups and task forces centering the needs of survivors of domestic violence, especially housing, through Inter‑Agency Council for Homelessness and Fair Budget Coalition meetings, and other collaborative spaces.

Support efforts to address gaps and barriers in accessing services for survivors in DC.

Provide technical assistance and respond to inquiries from member programs, community partners, and government agency staff.

Convene and support DCCADV’s Survivor Advisory Board.

Develop relationships with systems in the District that interface with survivors of domestic violence to improve trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered supports.

Engage DC government agencies and systems in their response to domestic violence, providing technical assistance and supporting collaborations.

Represent DCCADV at events, meetings, or conferences as needed.

Track and support analysis of legislation impacting domestic violence.

Support development of materials for policy initiatives and systems engagement.

Collaborate with the Programs team to provide training to member programs, community partners, and external stakeholders.

Support member program engagement regarding policy and systems engagement.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and community impact.

Commitment to the eradication of gender‑based violence and to accessibility, trauma‑informed care, and language justice.

Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking.

Experience working directly with survivors and supporting their system navigation.

Familiarity with Law Enforcement, Child Welfare, Housing, and Public Health systems in Washington, DC.

Proven experience engaging with systems and providing technical assistance.

Proficient use of Windows operating system and related programs.

Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Ability to work autonomously and as a team member.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Additional Information

Hybrid schedule in the DCCADV office; willing to travel occasionally in and around DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Mayoral orders regarding vaccinations and masking will apply.

Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Salary range: $65,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience.
