Network/System Engineer – Genesis10 (Financial Industry)
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts. Our client Genesis10 is seeking a Network/System Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC, and Jersey City, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work with a top staffing firm and a range of finance industry clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE middleware applications.
Deploy and configure middleware platforms such as Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, JBOSS, WebLogic, Spring Boot.
Ensure Linux system reliability and performance.
Implement and manage automation with Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, Celestial.
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Collaborate with network teams on HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load-balancer, firewall, and proxy configurations.
Perform scripting in Shell, Python, Jython, Perl as needed.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE middleware engineer.
Strong knowledge of at least two middleware products: Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, JBOSS, WebLogic, Spring Boot, or Apache.
Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
Experience with container frameworks and deployment tools (Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, Celestial).
DevOps experience.
Understanding of network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load‑balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Appian or PEGA products is a plus.
Pay Range $63,680 - $71,680 per year.
