About The Job In this role, you’ll be the bridge between technology and business strategy. As a Solution Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in pre‑sales and client engagement by identifying needs, designing tailored solutions, and demonstrating the value of our offerings. You’ll collaborate closely with sales, product, and technical teams to translate business objectives into impactful technology solutions, becoming a trusted advisor for our clients. This is an opportunity to make a real impact while working at the intersection of business, innovation, and client success.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Account Executives on qualified opportunities to uncover customer business objectives, pain points and project requirements.

Create winning sales strategies and presentations for prospects using best practices and industry expertise.

Present the value of SOVRA solutions through sophisticated, collaborative demos.

Build high‑quality functional responses to RFPs and support all functional/technical activities through the sales cycle.

Work effectively with other parts of the organization, including Product Management and R&D, to support ongoing product improvements using feedback from prospects and customers.

Demonstrate an understanding of client business processes through presentations, demonstrations and RFx response development.

Act as a functional expert for sales directors and account executives.

Meet regularly with field sales executives to develop strategies to build pipelines, work specific opportunities, and close business.

Develop excellent working relationships with all executives and staff supported above.

Participate in weekly sales calls with executive management as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge or experience in Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.

Knowledge or experience with SaaS and Cloud‑Based applications.

Experience working with the U.S. or Canadian Public Sector is an asset.

Able to articulate the value of and sell SaaS/Cloud‑Based applications.

Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite and other software tools.

Stay current on the solution roadmap and competitive offers to deepen your industry knowledge.

Ability to travel as needed.

Commitment to company values and understanding of our corporate purpose.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with prospective clients in complex environments.

Planning: ability to think ahead and plan for the short and long term.

Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Problem analysis and problem‑solving skills.

Public sector (state and local government) experience.
