We are seeking a Global Category Sourcing Manager – Wood Products to join our team in a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This role contributes to the success of the organization’s global sourcing strategy, ensuring the achievement of cost efficiencies, supplier excellence, and the long‑term sustainability of the supply chain. Responsibilities
Manage global sourcing strategies for assigned categories ensuring alignment with business objectives and global goals. Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity trends to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage. Provide actionable insights to leadership on strategic sourcing initiatives and opportunities for improvement. Think Fast by evaluating and managing supplier risks and developing contingency plans to ensure the security of supply. Work it Together—collaborate with functional areas including Master Scheduling, Planning, Manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers and external suppliers to ensure customer expectations are met. Make Hard Call by monitoring supplier performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent work experience. Ability to develop, lead, and manage supply chain strategy and supply base for Wood Products category. 7+ years of experience in direct sourcing; preferably in the wood products category. Experience in strategic sourcing for multiple production plants from an international supply base. Ability to travel up to 10%. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier contracts. Proven track record reducing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Proven ability to scope and create projects to reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce supplier risk and increase capacity along with a collaborative approach to communication & problem-solving. Experience in applying change management techniques, lean principles & project management tools is preferred. Wood products category sourcing experience, including an understanding of the characteristics of wood species and manufacturing processes for millwork, is preferred. Additional Information
Salary
Hiring Pay Range: $93,000 USD – $143,000 USD. (Actual salaries may vary.) Employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based sales incentive plan.
