Senior Partner at GSP International Executive Search Firm Our client, located in Wilmington, DE, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Hybrid. $115k-$140k plus bonus.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or large firm) preferred.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for internal management and external reporting.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Collaborate with business units and operations teams to understand results and address accounting issues.
Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Research and document technical accounting positions related to complex or non-routine transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, and stock‑based compensation.
Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the company’s financial reporting.
Draft and maintain accounting policies and procedures consistent with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements.
Support quarterly and annual SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K, 8‑K), including footnote disclosures and accounting narratives.
