About this Opportunity The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, including coordination of month, quarter, and year-end close activities. This role provides leadership to a team of accounting professionals and ensures timely, compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables to ensure timely financial statements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities, providing required documentation, and addressing findings or recommendations.
Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for operational or process improvements.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Resolve complex accounting issues using technical expertise, professional judgment, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
Minimum of six years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to integrity and effective problem-solving.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
