Job Description
Under the direction of the Design Team Lead, the position will create and revise simple to complex assembly drawings for new bioprocess containers using AutoCAD. The drafter will also be required to run costing for updated or newly created designs, assist in training BPC designers, and work on projects as assigned by the manager.
Key Responsibilities
Create and revise simple to complex bioprocess container chambers and assemblies according to redlines and/or product briefs, understanding the various product families with their associated design requirements.
Use AutoCAD Mechanical to create product drawings using predesigned blocks or manually creating geometry as required while following bioprocess container design guidelines.
Create and test blocks as requested.
Navigate within Salesforce to download design requirements and upload completed drawings.
Navigate through PDM Enterprise to check drawings in and out, maintaining accurate drawing versions and histories, and search for designs as needed.
Use Master Control to pull specification numbers, complete training sign‑offs, and perform complex searches; create templates to aid the design process.
Communicate effectively with team members and engineers.
Participate in meetings, providing suggestions for team improvements.
Proactively participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs, taking the lead on assigned projects.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with previous drafting experience required; OR Associate degree in Technical Drafting.
Effective use of AutoCAD in completing simple designs.
Knowledge of common assembly components and processes.
Competence in Microsoft Office and other office application software.
Able to present product designs in clear, organized formats.
Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet customer needs.
Seeks appropriate information to understand and determine the course of action.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as a team, collaborate with colleagues, and share workload.
Ability to check drawings for accuracy.
Additional Information Support a 24‑hour/7‑day global operation.
Proficient in AutoCAD Application.
High school diploma required.
