Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands‑on experience in the design and development of sheet metal components, machine guarding, tooling, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor and capable of creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to support manufacturing and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop sheet metal parts, guarding, tooling, and fixtures for manufacturing and automation equipment.
Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, and subassemblies in SolidWorks or Inventor.
Generate detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation for fabrication and assembly.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, maintenance, and automation engineering.
Support prototype builds and validation of mechanical designs.
Ensure all designs comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in manufacturing or industrial equipment.
Proficiency with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor (sheet metal and assembly design required).
Experience with tooling, fixture design, and machine guarding.
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and fabrication processes.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
