Role Overview The Clinical Engineering Manager leads clinical engineering initiatives to provide superior customer service and operational efficiency by managing the execution of the AdventHealth Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). This position manages day‑to‑day operations, collaborates and maintains positive relationships with customers, develops colleagues, and provides a communication channel between hospital executives. The role also directs Joint Commission/DNV inspections and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. A hands‑on service component in general biomedical support is included.
Value to the Team
Manage personnel by staffing and scheduling technicians to ensure optimal service delivery.
Oversee site operations and provide direction using technology and equipment knowledge.
Coach and mentor technicians, providing feedback on performance and documentation practices.
Develop service strategies focused on continuous process improvement.
Manage service operations functions, including contracts, resources, demand labor, parts, and inventory of shop supplies.
Identify and resolve technological and process problems through collaboration.
Manage Joint Commission/DNV inspections, prioritize open work orders, and ensure documentation of performance assurance inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree
5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a clinical engineering setting
Active driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
CBET – Level III highly preferred
