Electrical Designer
Location Englewood, CO
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Electrical Designer to join our Controls Engineering team. This role will focus heavily on AutoCAD Electrical design and support the development of industrial control systems. You’ll be responsible for creating and modifying electrical schematics, designing control panels, and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in electrical design, especially in industrial machinery, who is eager to grow their skills in AutoCAD Electrical and work on cutting‑edge automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and draft electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (or Eplan/SolidWorks Electrical with willingness to transition).
Develop and modify industrial control panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
Ensure all designs comply with NEC, NFPA 79, and other applicable codes and standards.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support the build and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Perform load calculations, component selection, and wire sizing.
Interpret and revise existing schematics and documentation as needed.
Support the integration of automated equipment and industrial machinery.
Required Qualifications
0-2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79, and other relevant electrical standards.
Experience with industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read, interpret, and modify complex electrical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Eplan or SolidWorks Electrical.
Associate’s or Junior-level BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
Exposure to automated equipment or machinery design.
Additional Notes
Candidates without AutoCAD Electrical experience but with strong electrical fundamentals and experience in Eplan or SolidWorks Electrical are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
This role is 90% schematic-focused, so attention to detail and strong documentation skills are essential.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $50,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr.
