Principal
Hardware Engineer who will plan, lead, and design complex electrical boards, e.g., single board computers (SBC), FPGA, Switch, and Input/Output cards in 3U and 6U VPX form‑factors. Expertise in electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, and/or DSP systems to resolve complex issues during design, test, and production.

Your Challenge
Collaborate with engineering, project management, test engineering, and operations team members in small highly integrated multi‑disciplinary teams operating in high intensity schedule driven timelines to meet customer needs and missions
Plan, lead, and design 3U and 6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and input/output cards up to 100 GHz data rates
Support business development, product line managers, program managers, and customer support in reviewing customer needs and specifications and generating system requirements and functional requirements for a practical design
Determine feasibility from technical and economic perspectives. Acts as team or project lead
Provide leadership to engineering teams and introduce industry practices to improve product performance, reliability, and time‑to‑market (TTM)
Direct and conduct tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes
Develop and maintain technical procedures, documentation, and manuals
What you Bring
Minimum bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree in electrical engineering is preferred
Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience in DoD embedded systems and products hardware design, including SBC, FPGA, switch, and input/output cards up to 100 GHz data rates; 10+ years' experience is preferred
Demonstrated experience designing mixed signal, high‑speed digital, analog and low power high current designs in high reliability environments; Must have extensive knowledge experience designing high‑density interconnect (HDI), including dense double‑side PCBs with 26+ layer/Mult lamination rigid Blind/Buried Via with uVia Structures
Demonstrated experience with Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) tools and using Siemens Expedition (PCB)
Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadline in high pressure environment, ability to drive to result and hold self‑accountable to continuously improve skills
Self‑starter with ability to work through ambiguity and evolving project requirements
Ability to lead and mentor others creating/architecting complex designs to completion while in a schedule‑teams based project
Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and information to peers and teams
US Citizenship required; Active DoD Security Clearance is preferred
