Required Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years managing a team at high-growth companies.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required)
Demonstrated success helping scale a company, ideally including rapid headcount growth.
Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
A builder and problem-solver, comfortable creating processes from scratch.
Experience supporting international employees, including immigration and visa processes
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment
Key Responsibilities:
Build and scale the U.S. HR function from the ground up.
Own all HR operations including onboarding, compliance, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
Serve as the company’s first HR/People leader, owning and building all core HR functions.
Develop and implement policies, systems, and processes to support a scaling organization.
Work closely with leadership on hiring strategy, talent planning, and org design.
Track and drive key hiring metrics (e.g., new hires per quarter, retention, onboarding effectiveness).
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies across all relevant jurisdictions.
Provide expert support for immigration and visa processes, with a focus on Japanese employees and international hires.
