Georgia‑Pacific is seeking to grow our Halsey team by adding a
Continuous Improvement Leader ! This role focuses on leading people, people, processes and assets to continually improve the plant’s operations.
Our Team The Halsey Mill is located in the Willamette Valley, roughly 30 minutes from the college towns of Corvallis and Eugene and 90 miles south of Portland, OR. The site offers abundant outdoor recreational activities and a strong community culture.
What You Will Do
Build and maintain effective relationships with Operations & Maintenance to align on vision and goals.
Create a culture of ownership and continuous improvement at all operational and maintenance levels.
Develop technical competency and problem‑solving capabilities within the mill.
Apply knowledge of innovative technologies, industry trends and developments to improve operations.
Promote and enforce safe work practices while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
Drive sustainability of manufacturing annual improvement plans.
Advance operational best‑practice tools and disciplined work processes.
Perform duties within a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of exposure to noise, dust, and non‑climate‑controlled areas.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience leading and developing people leaders within a complex, multi‑department, high‑speed manufacturing or heavy industrial production operation.
Proven track record of driving process transformation and delivering measurable results in a manufacturing environment.
Experience developing, launching and sustaining continuous improvement practices.
Experience developing asset strategies and applying reliability concepts to improve operational efficiency.
Willing and able to relocate within 1–3 years after arrival at Halsey.
Direct experience working in a manufacturing environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience leading product streams in paper, tissue or towel converting, OCC/secondary fiber.
Experience leading a multi‑disciplined team across an integrated production facility.
