Our client, Tekfortune Inc., is seeking an experienced designer to join the Mechanical Engineering Design team within the Launch Vehicle Division at our Chandler, AZ facility. The Designer 4 will be responsible for checking drawing/design packages for proper content and ensuring compliance with applicable industry and military standards.
Job Responsibilities
Review mechanical drawings, verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials, and quantities.
Perform mechanical modeling using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
Create and revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards.
Supervise and direct activities of staff as requested.
Perform related duties as assigned or required.
Utilize Word, Excel, Windows, NX, and Teamcenter.
Communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Work quickly and accurately under schedule pressure, demonstrating patience.
Show strong time management and organizational skills.
Basic Qualifications
2‑year technical degree in drafting or engineering and 6 years directly related experience.
Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5‑2009; GDTP Professional Certification preferred.
Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME Y14.41.
Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes (CNC Mill and Lathe).
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Comfortable working extended periods at a workstation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with weld design per AWS D17.1 and D1.1; AWS CWI certification preferred.
Experience Working With DoD Programs Preferred
Working knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and MIL‑Standard 100.
Position Details Location: Chandler, AZ. Shift: 1st Shift (9/8:00 A). Start/End: 12/8/2025 – 12/7/2026. Telecommute: Not available. Clearance: Active Secret. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time.
Salary range: $70,000.00 – $115,000.00 (Phoenix, AZ). Note: The role may also list similar positions in Phoenix and Scottsdale with comparable salary ranges.
