RN‑Emergency Department Nurse PT Nights
Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital – PT, Night Shift – 24 hours/week – 24 contracted hours/week – Grade: 6NTEMP – Pay: $31.66–$61.35/hr.
Summary Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients’ clinical decision‑making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
Qualifications Education Associate’s Degree Nursing (required) or Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (preferred). No experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses and Credentials Registered Nurse [RN – State License] – Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred.
Experience Clinical nursing experience 0‑1 year (required).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with nursing principles and skills for patient care and treatment.
Knowledge of age‑specific patient care requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Accurate screening and triage of acute patients.
