JR100795**Job Description:****Overview**KSA, a Pape-Dawson Company, is seeking a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in aviation or transportation engineering and a passion for advancing client relationships through high-quality project delivery, and increasing market share for engineering, architecture, planning, and environmental services through strategic planning and business development execution . This position combines technical leadership with client engagement—managing airfield improvement projects while supporting the pursuit and development of new opportunities in collaboration with the Aviation Practice leadership team. As an engineer who studies, designs, and manages airfield improvements, you will be part of a collaborative group that values innovation, partnership, and a commitment to providing the best engineering solutions for every client.**Responsibilities*** Cultivate and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients through responsive service and active communication.* Represent KSA and Pape-Dawson at industry conferences, professional associations, and client meetings to enhance visibility and strengthen the firm’s position in the aviation market.* Partner with marketing and practice leadership to develop pursuit strategies, statements of qualifications, and proposal presentations.* Develop engineering fee budgets, opinions of probable construction costs, and schedules to meet project requirements and client expectations.* Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate subconsultants (survey, geotechnical, environmental), and oversee project performance through all phases.* Lead the planning, design, and management of airfield improvement projects, including runway and taxiway design, pavement rehabilitation, airfield lighting, hangar development, fencing, and drainage systems such as culverts, storm drains, and detention facilities.* Lead the preparation of complete airport design plan sets, including plans and profiles, grading and drainage, pavement markings, NAVAIDs, and lighting details typical of an airport construction drawing package.* Apply technical expertise to review, approve, and seal design documents while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.* Mentor junior engineers and support emerging project managers in developing both technical and client service/business development skills.* Ensure all work adheres to KSA and Pape-Dawson’s standards for quality, safety, and design excellence.* Ability to travel.**Qualifications*** Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.* Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.* 8+ years of progressive experience in aviation engineering, project management, and business development.* Demonstrated experience supporting or leading client engagement and business development activities.* Proven ability to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships that generate repeat work.* Experience leading teams to deliver airport construction drawings and specifications.* Knowledge of business development fundamentals, including pursuit positioning, proposal preparation, and interview participation.* Proficiency with MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel), Newforma, and Bluebeam.* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D with the ability to lead teams in the development of plans using those platforms.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience in a leadership role on projects that delivered multi-disciplinary airport improvement projects including Part 139 airports and/or TxDOT general aviation airports.* Experience performing construction administration of public infrastructure.* Experience in delivering aviation and/or transportation projects for public entities in Texas.* Experience working with and managing survey, Geotech, and other subconsultants.* Experience on projects that delivered multi-disciplinary airport improvement projects.* Experience with proposal preparations and interviews.* Good presentation skills.* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.**EEO Statement:**All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Pape-Dawson is a leading civil engineering and professional services firm, with a history of delivering award-winning infrastructure and development projects with national impact.
