Primary Job Objective/Job Summary The Training Coordinator assists with sourcing, developing, delivering, managing, and evaluating SC Thrive trainings. This position works closely to assess training needs and establish training goals and objectives. The Training Coordinator supports the Training Department by utilizing several systems including, but not limited to: Learning Management System, online application completion systems, Monday.com and Office 365.
Direct Reports/Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Essential Functions
Become a trained SCT Counselor with the ability to perform client intake interviews and complete applications as well as determine how to expand and best implement usage of Thrive Hub within partner agencies.
Become fully knowledgeable and able to present at numerous speaking engagements on the breadth of SCT work.
Participate in high leverage state and national coalitions, events, conferences, etc. to promote the work of SCT.
Become a trained SCT counselor and trainer in aspects of Thrive Hub and all other SC Thrive trainings.
Stay current on industry and organization trends, products, competitive activity, and customer needs.
Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching.
Adjust facilitation style to meet the needs of the audience by selecting appropriate training mediums, such as manuals or online videos.
Design, develop, and update training curriculum, materials, activities, simulations, and educational aids.
Conduct training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed through training.
Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design, and e-learning platforms.
Maintains the tracking of internal and external training through the agency learning management system, including monitoring and renewal of required trainings.
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
Facilitate special projects as assigned.
Assist with keeping track of all Training Inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications and Experience Required
Associate degree or higher, or commensurate experience.
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
Excellent interpersonal and facilitator skills to which employees respond positively.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
Strong communication skills and a "team first" mentality.
Ability to work with a cross-functional team to drive improved performance.
Consistently displays a proficient technological aptitude.
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to manage time effectively; skills in organizing and prioritizing tasks; ability to meet/exceed expectations and deadlines.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, as needed.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in the nonprofit sector or contact center environment is preferred.

Additional Notes/Requirements/Qualifications
Pre-employment screens are required per standard policy to include background and drug screening.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, as needed.
Must have reliable transportation or be able to secure transportation for travel as needed.
Must have a valid SC driver’s license, minimum state auto insurance, and the ability to travel to multiple worksites in SC.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with SCT policy.
Must have consistent, secure, high-speed internet access that is at least 25 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload and meets SC Thrive’s standards.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands The job will usually be performed in a standard office environment, but occasionally, travel will be required. Occasional work outside standard business hours, including nights, overnights, and weekends, may be required for special projects and events.
Must be able to remain stationary 70% of the time. The individual in this job must occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office equipment, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as calculators, printers, etc. Frequently positions themselves to maintain files in file cabinets.
Consistently communicates information and ideas to others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a manner others understand in these situations. Frequently observes details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasional moves boxes up to 20 pounds across the office for various purposes.
