Onboarding Project Manager - Funded Platform

is seeking an Onboarding Project Manager to lead the successful onboarding and adoption of Funded, Gen II’s proprietary electronic subscription management platform. The role involves working closely with law firms, fund formation attorneys, fund sponsors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless platform deployment and user adoption, translating legal requirements into platform configurations while managing complex onboarding processes and training programs.
Primary responsibilities
Lead comprehensive onboarding process for new law firms and clients onto the Funded platform.
Configure law firm‑specific templates, custom questions, and document formatting requirements.
Conduct training sessions for attorney teams on platform functionality and efficiency features.
Demonstrate value through features such as template reuse, cross‑fund cloning, sub‑document review, investor communications, and systematic fund closings.
Analyze existing paper‑based subscription processes and identify digitization opportunities.
Create and maintain training materials, user guides, and onboarding documentation.
Provide ongoing support during initial fund launches to ensure smooth adoption.
Coordinate with compliance teams to ensure proper AML/KYC workflow configuration.
Manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects while maintaining high service quality.
Collaborate with worldwide cross‑functional teams to ensure coordinated and timely delivery of key objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and organizational stakeholders, providing specific guidance, support, and strategies around client implementation.
Lead weekly client and multi‑department conference calls to address onboarding needs.
Provide subject‑matter expertise, governance, and risk assessments to address client needs and business goals.
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs to drive successful onboarding outcomes.
Exhibit strong initiative and ownership, proactively addressing issues, conflicts, and dependencies.
Provide comprehensive reporting on onboarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to various audiences.
Work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence.
Manage and utilize internal and external resources.
Manage stakeholders’ communication (project teams, leadership, clients, etc.).
Adhere to the onboarding plan.
Participate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature onboarding capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Legal experience is a plus.
5–7 years’ experience in private equity, alternative investments, legal services, or financial technology.
Proficiency in project execution: analysis, scoping, requirements gathering, execution, and change management.
Strong understanding of fund formation processes and subscription documentation.
Excellent presentation and training delivery skills with ability to work with senior legal professionals.
Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple client implementations.
Ability to think independently, prioritize multiple onboarding projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to learn complex legal and regulatory requirements quickly and apply them to platform configuration.
Attention to detail for template setup, document formatting, and compliance workflows.
Superior problem‑solving and client relationship management skills.
Experience in financial services, preferably in a global environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with legal and technical audiences.
Technical aptitude for platform configuration and user management systems.
Experience in influencing and leading personnel and strong team‑building skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills and client service orientation.
Versatile, adaptable team player comfortable under pressure.
Self‑motivated with a passion for working with people.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
Extensive Microsoft Office skills – Excel (pivots), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Preferred Skills
Private equity and/or fund administration experience.
Experience with legal technology platforms.
Experience with document management and e‑signature workflows.
Experience in client onboarding or implementation management.
Salary and Benefits Salary range: $110,000 – $143,000, plus discretionary bonus and eligibility for the Gen II Incentive Plan (LTIP). The offer will depend on experience.
Work Arrangement Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The role requires a hybrid schedule: two days in the office and three days remote per week.
