The position will be inspecting tubing for visual defects as shown on microscopes. Accurate recording of data, data collection. This is a multi‑task role that may rotate to various areas as needed.
Principal Responsibilities
Intermediate and final inspection of tubing and tubing prototypes.
Cross trained in the flushing and tubing cutting process.
Accurate recording of data used in traceability reporting, statistical process data collection, customer compliance and quality assurance of medical products.
Responsible for the packaging of material.
Inspection of tubing for visual defects using microscopes, monitor microscope and box light.
When performing the cutting procedure, the tube is cut to a specified length manually and using automated tubing and braided tubing cutters.
Flushing of the tubing requires the tubes to be prepared for a cleaning process after removal of the mandrel. The process may require individual hanging or bundling of the tubes.
Education / Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
Basic math (addition, subtraction, division) and assembly.
Good interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work as part of an effective team.
Must be able to distinguish color and have good vision for inspection purposes.
