Cloud Infrastructure Administrator II

The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator II is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the PGA TOUR’s cloud-based and on-premises server infrastructure. This role helps ensure system availability, performance, and security of our systems. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Cloud Infrastructure Administrator II will participate in the deployment and support of infrastructure solutions while continuing to grow their technical expertise.
Qualifications
5+ years administration of Windows/Linux Servers and network systems, building consistent, automated system and software installation packages for servers and workstations, Apache Web Server, and DNS
Bachelor's degree in information systems/management or equivalent work experience, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
3+ years of experience with various virtualization technologies and multi‑tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments
Professional experience administering/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Ability to secure cloud applications and data against theft, loss, or other disasters
Thorough understanding of server administration concepts, networking and application concepts, troubleshooting and problem solving
Experience in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) and building required automation using standard technologies
Ability to lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of deployment and task automation (OS, database services, virtual networks, or other platform services)
Ability to work with third‑party SaaS providers and third‑party development partners on integration solutions
Must have knowledge/experience with the following AWS technologies: VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, Network (ENA, IGW, DXGW, TGW, DNS, etc.), ALB, IAM, Billing, Monitoring/CloudWatch, Automation/Cloud Formation, RDS, Organizations, API Gateway, Lambda, Control Tower
AWS SysOps Administrator associate certification required or equivalent work experience (with expectation of certification within 12–18 months of employment)
Work schedule to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
Provision, configure, and maintain cloud‑based and on‑prem server infrastructure (physical and virtual), primarily on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and VMware
Configure, test, troubleshoot, and deploy Windows and Linux server operating systems and applications
Perform system updates, patches, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal security and performance
Monitor system performance and availability using cloud‑native tools and monitoring systems
Perform advanced troubleshooting of system and application issues that arise and escalation to senior members if needed
Execute and maintain backup and recovery procedures
Manage identity and access controls across cloud and on‑prem platforms, ensuring least privileged access (AWS IAM Identity Center, IAM roles and policies, Active Directory, server access, etc.)
Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
Automate routine administrative tasks through scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Review, plan, and execute remediations of identified security vulnerabilities
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and architecture
Research and evaluate emerging technologies; make recommendations to enhance system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
Participate in a 24x7 on‑call support rotation
Perform other assignments or duties as needed
