ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for qualified special inspectors proficient in performing inspections and testing of construction materials. The ideal candidates will be actively engaged on construction sites, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days range Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., depending on project workload. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. The pay range is $28-$38 per hour, determined by relevant experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct thorough inspections of construction materials, including concrete, steel, soil, and other aggregates, to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Write daily field and inspection reports documenting work performed by the various contractors and indicating compliance/non‑compliance with contract documents and applicable codes. Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections and testing results of all findings. Monitor materials, installation, fabrication, erection, and placement of construction components to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Perform materials sampling (concrete, grout, soils, aggregates, etc.) and testing during construction of buildings, bridges, and roadways. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to address any issues or deficiencies and develop solutions to maintain project timelines and safety standards. Contribute to building a high‑performing team by mentoring and supporting the team within the respective discipline areas. Contribute to the team by being a supportive and flexible team member. QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience is heavily preferred. American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) or at least (1) International Code Council Special Inspection Certification (ICC) Certification (Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel and Bolting, etc.). APNGA Radiation Safety and ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Use a company‑provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Authorization to work in the United States. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge or the ability to obtain. American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI). ICC Commercial Building Inspector (CBI). ICC Reinforced Concrete. ICC Prestress Concrete. ICC Structural Steel and Bolting. ICC Structural Welding. ICC Spray‑Applied Fireproofing. ICC Certifications related to Construction and/or Inspection. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands outlined below represent the requirements that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While carrying out the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Additionally, the employee frequently needs to sit, stand, walk, use their hands for tasks such as gripping or feeling objects, and reach with their arms. This role requires the ability to lift and bend, with the capacity to lift up to 75 pounds and bend or stand as needed. Employees must also maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles, using both foot and ladder, while navigating rough, uneven terrain and steep surfaces. WHAT WE OFFER
