Senior Tax Associate - National Office (JD Required)

Responsibilities
Research and analyze various federal income tax issues, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, accounting methods, digital assets, and other matters.
Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
Draft emails, memos, and firm‑wide alerts on current federal income tax developments.
Assist with firm‑wide training in federal income tax.
Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence in connection with M&A transactions.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred).
J.D.
Preferred Qualifications
Tax LL.M.
Experience working with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint.

Compensation & Location For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. For NYC and California, the expected salary range is between $80,000 and $115,000.
