Senior Director, Product Management – Cloud Foundation
Join Capital One as a Senior Director of Product Management for our Cloud Foundation team. You will drive the strategy, architecture, and delivery of cloud platform services that enable the bank’s application teams to scale and innovate.
Responsibilities
Partner with Engineering Leaders to develop CapitalOne’s Cloud strategy, defining and prioritizing the roadmap for cloud landing zones and foundational compute services.
Drive product strategy for best‑in‑class compute environments, balancing compliance, security, and cost‑to‑performance.
Collaborate closely with engineering to enhance cloud serverless compute offerings, ensuring easy provisioning, security, performance, and streamlined onboarding.
Gather requirements from application development, networking, and security/compliance stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities for automation and self‑service within the cloud platform.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate the health of compute runtimes and the standards of cloud landing zones.
Manage the product backlog and priorities for cloud platform components, including infrastructure‑as‑code templates.
Serve as the voice of the customer, translating technical capabilities into clear, value‑driven product features and documentation, and proactively identify emerging tech needs to support the business.
Basic Qualifications
At least 9 years of experience in Product Management.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the expectation of obtaining the required degree before the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products.
Experience in Agile product management.
Product experience driving vision for web‑scale, cloud‑based infrastructure platforms and tooling.

Chicago, IL: $240,300 – $274,300
McLean, VA: $264,300 – $301,700
New York, NY: $288,400 – $329,100
Plano, TX: $240,300 – $274,300
San Francisco, CA: $288,400 – $329,100
