The Role We’re looking for a
Bookkeeper
who thrives in structure, precision, and accountability. This isn’t just data entry—it’s the foundation of financial strategy. You’ll manage day‑to‑day accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and readiness for CFO review and tax planning. You’ll work within our Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud accounting platforms, helping maintain organized, intelligent, and automation‑ready books that feed directly into our CFO dashboards and client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities Core Accounting
Record daily transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and maintain clean general ledgers.
Post journal entries and ensure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll allocations.
Assist with month‑end closing and account reconciliations.
Manage books for multiple clients across diverse industries (construction, real estate, professional services, etc.).
Financial Workflow Management
Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and P&L statements for CFO review.
Maintain digital documentation and audit‑ready records within SharePoint and client folders.
Support integration of accounting data into dashboards and automation flows (Microsoft Power Automate, Excel models, etc.).
Track client deliverables, missing data, and workflow status using CXO’s standardized process templates.
Client Collaboration
Communicate proactively with clients to obtain missing information.
Coordinate with the CXO Client Relationship Manager and Tax Strategy teams to ensure consistency.
Uphold CXO’s service standards—accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in all communication.

3+ years of bookkeeping experience (public accounting or multi‑client environment preferred).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data validation, lookups).
Understanding of accrual‑basis accounting and GAAP principles.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate).
Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
Experience in construction, real estate, or professional services industries is a plus.
