Summit School is an independent school located in Winston-Salem, NC. We are seeking assistant coaches for our Varsity and JV soccer teams made up of 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students. The assistant coach will attend practices and matches and help manage the overall program throughout the soccer seasons. Boys season: August to October. Girls season: February to May.
This is a part-time, seasonal/temporary position requiring 10-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Attend practices and matches and assist the head coach in executing effective practices.
Assist the head coach in executing game strategy.
Demonstrate proper control and discipline, establishing good rapport among students.
Travel when necessary.
Assist the head coach in demonstrating, explaining basic soccer skills, knowledge, and strategies.
Qualifications
Proven aptitude for coaching with strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Previous experience playing soccer essential; coaching experience preferred.
Ability to maintain control and discipline in a positive manner, establishing wholesome rapport.
Committed to 10-20 hours per week and traveling as needed.
