Controller
for a fantastic manufacturing company in LaPorte, Indiana. This position is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting at the location, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures. The role encompasses risk management, ASAT compliance, and effective internal controls. The position also provides financial leadership through data analysis, development of strategic alternatives, and support for management decision-making. Responsibilities include preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial accountability.
Contribution to the Organization The Controller directly supports the facility's success by partnering with the Plant Manager to identify, evaluate, and implement business improvement opportunities that drive operational and financial excellence.
Essential Functions Of The Controller
Prepare and analyze location P&L results.
Develop budgets and forecasts; compare and analyze actual performance against plan.
Review financial statements and account reconciliations.
Conduct financial and data analysis to support decision-making and performance tracking.
Manage Finance, Lot Trace, Procurement and Office Services personnel and functions.
Serve as SPA for ASAT objectives - Analysis, Revenue, and Management.
Calculate and monitor key location performance metrics.
Job Responsibilities of the Controller
Act as Controller for LaPorte manufacturing and logistics & transportation groups.
Serve as SPA for location ASAT compliance.
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Maintain accuracy and validity of location financial statements and representations.
Lead, manage, and develop finance and accounting staff.
Ensure accurate and complete financial information for all contracts.
Communicate financial performance and progress toward objectives.
Provide financial leadership in evaluating projects, plans, and capital investments.
Job Specifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
MBA strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Strong people management and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Experience with Oracle systems.
Project management expertise.
Flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
