Location Supporting our markets in Berea, OH; Detroit and Grand Rapids, MI; Freedom and Pittsburg, PA.

Compensation $90,000 – $105,000 base pay plus annual bonus opportunities, company vehicle, benefits, and so much more!

Job Summary The Sales Manager will oversee a team of outside sales representatives selling our portfolio of outdoor living products and services through our expansive distribution network. This role is responsible for team performance, professional development, territory optimization, and sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to coach, motivate, and achieve results through external sales teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of outside sales representatives in assigned territories.

Work with the team to develop strategies to increase sales and profits within key, opportunity, new, and existing customer segments.

Establish clear sales targets and objectives for each representative; track progress and provide regular feedback.

Collaborate with the Division General Manager and Regional Manager to develop, implement, and execute action plans to achieve desired results.

Work with the Pricing Team and Division Leadership to provide input on local pricing strategies.

Conduct regular field visits, ride‑alongs, and performance reviews with sales staff.

Provide ongoing sales training, product knowledge education, and professional development opportunities for the team.

Coach on all phases of the sales process, including negotiation, post‑sale support, and customer relationship management.

Analyze sales data, team activity, and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize territory coverage.

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts.

Serve as a resource and support for regional and branch teams, assisting with the implementation of sales best practices.

Lead the execution of product launches and marketing initiatives.

Resolve customer and sales team issues promptly.

Collect and report customer and field feedback to inform sales strategy.

Recruit and onboard new team members as necessary.

Prepare and present sales performance reports to senior management.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and network with key partners.

Maintain accurate customer call records in the CRM system.

Stay current on competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

5+ years of outside sales experience in distribution sales or related industries.

2+ years of sales team management experience.

Strong knowledge of pool related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies, or similar tangible goods.

Experience with digital sales tools and driving adoption.

Ability to analyze and translate field/customer feedback into actionable strategies.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational, coaching, and motivational abilities.

Comfortable with regional travel as required.

Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.

Self‑motivation and ability to work independently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Familiarity with Prelude or similar inventory management software preferred.

Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

21 years or older.
