Inpatient Nurse Practitioner, Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Immunotherapy
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Division of Hematology Oncology seeks a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our well-established Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Immunotherapy program.
Job Overview The program is the region’s only adult, FACT-accredited program for autologous transplant, allogeneic transplant, and cellular immunotherapy. It is part of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Washington, D.C. region.
Responsibilities
Provide full‑time inpatient care (1.0 FTE) with no call or weeknight duties.
Round with physicians daily and stay on the unit to execute orders, respond to nursing care needs, and support the transplant program.
Write follow‑up/subsequent chemotherapy orders and perform bone marrow biopsies.
Collaborate with malignant hematologists, bone marrow transplant physicians, and the specialized care team.
Maintain thorough documentation, work autonomously, and keep regular communication with administrative and physician support.
Qualifications
NP license with a chemotherapy (or equivalent) card.
Inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider.
Experience or comfort with bone marrow biopsies and intrathecal chemotherapy preferred, but not required.
New graduates considered if they have a strong desire to work in the cutting‑edge field of stem cell transplant and cellular immunotherapy.
Benefits
Competitive salary $115,000 – $143,619 per year.
