Infrastructure Engineer
Hybrid, Boston – 3 Days On-Site
W2 Contract, 6 Months (+ Extensions)
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our professional services client. The role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of a global IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the security, integrity, and seamless operation of systems across multiple data centers. This role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise-level systems.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and support infrastructure in multiple global data centers.
Manage data backup and archive processes to ensure data integrity.
Handle production support requests.
Uphold the security and integrity of production and development environments following organizational security policies.
Maintain and test disaster recovery plans.
Design and implement high-level and low-level infrastructure solutions.
Perform audits, peer reviews, and due diligence as required.
Required Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting the following technologies:
VMware Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, micro-segmentation, VMware Horizon/VDI).
Microsoft Active Directory at an enterprise level.
Storage Technologies (Hybrid, Flash, Nimble).
Microsoft Windows Servers.
PowerShell scripting.
Experience supporting large, enterprise-level infrastructures.
Knowledge of system hardware platforms (HP/Dell/Cisco).
Professional virtualization certification (preferred but not required).
