SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant / Architect Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite) Type: 12+ months contract or Full time Job Description
Seeking a Principal SAP GTS Consultant to deliver high‑impact solutions in international trade compliance and customs management, including solution design, configuration, integration, and deployment aligning with global trade regulations and client needs. Responsibilities
Lead SAP GTS solution lifecycle: requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, and deployment. Design and implement SAP GTS Compliance Management modules (SPL screening, embargo checks, legal control). Deploy SAP GTS Customs Management (Export/Import declarations, special customs procedures, FTZ, IPR, OPR, customs warehouse). Implement SAP GTS Preference Management (preference determination, FTAs, LTVDs, CLTVDs, RVC calculation). Manage HS/Product classification and integration with ERP (S/4 HANA or ECC). Utilize middleware tools (Seeburger, CPI, EDI) for trade document processing. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, lead workshops, training, and solution presentations. Contribute to proposal development, internal capability building, and pre‑sales activities. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum 11 years of IT experience with a focus on SAP GTS. Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of SAP GTS experience, including hands‑on configuration and business process consulting. Strong experience with SAP GTS E4H, S/4 HANA, or ECC integration. In‑depth knowledge of global trade compliance processes and regulatory frameworks. Experience with middleware tools (Seeburger, CPI, EDI). Proven end‑to‑end GTS implementations and upgrades.
