Sr Principal DevOps Engineer
who will support the Sentinel program. This position will be located in one of the following locations: Roy, Utah; Huntsville, Alabama; or Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The standard work schedule is a 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday with every other Friday off).
Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications
8 years of experience as a Senior Principal DevOps Engineer, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, 4 years with a PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret clearance (reinvestigation within last 6 years).
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
5 years experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (e.g., Nexus, JFrog).
IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
5 years experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
Proficiency with Linux based software development tools.
5 years experience with Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating systems.
5 years experience with scripting languages (e.g., PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
5 years experience with Kubernetes implementation and Day‑2 operations.
5 years experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere, or similar virtual provisioning.
5 years experience with container technologies.
5 years experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong critical‑thinking and logical‑reasoning skills.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance.
Qualifications that Would Be Nice To Have
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Active DoD Secret clearance (reinvestigation within last 6 years).
Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Chef or equivalent.
Experience with source code configuration management tools (e.g., Git).
Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM.
Proficiency with DOORS, Cameo and ability to write and decompose system and software requirements.
SAP access.
Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 – $196,700.00.
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses, as well as long‑term incentive plans for VP or Director positions.
