Responsibilities
Establishes, directs, and sustains a fiscally responsible and measurably effective housekeeping and linen program across the hospital. Leads an operation that produces a sparkling clean, hygienic, and safe environment that is patient‑centered, sustainable (e.g., using green cleaning and integrated pest management), aligned with customer demands, and yields great results measured by patient satisfaction scores and internal key performance indicators within the approved budget.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable federal and district regulations, including EPA, DDOE, DOH, and OSHA.
Works as a key member of the GW Hospital Leadership Team and is committed to the hospital’s mission of providing excellent service to patients and the DC/Metro community.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
At least 10 years of leadership experience; experience in an Environmental Services leadership position preferred
Previous experience in a hospital environment required
Experience using LEAN or similar performance improvement methods preferred
Must complete GWUH Hazardous Materials Training for Generators within 60 days of hire
