As a Release Train Engineer, you’re passionate about outcomes and supporting development teams that are modernizing critical projects. You know the importance of agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need an experienced Release Train Engineer like you to lead technical teams and agile releases in support of our military.

On our team, you’ll coach multiple agile teams to their highest performance level and implement sustainable process improvements while ensuring the Agile Release Train successfully progresses. You’ll ensure agile principles and approaches are understood and implemented by the teams and key stakeholders to accomplish Planning Interval Objectives and Features in support of the mission.

You Have:

10+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Navy engineering and science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis

Experience as an Agile Coach serving multiple teams, providing tasking, and adjusting to shifting priorities

Experience performing Scrum duties, including backlog refinement, iteration planning, team syncs, iteration reviews, retrospectives, and planning interval (PI) planning

Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Knowledge of how to implement Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, and Lean-Agile processes and methodologies

Ability to facilitate and coach a dispersed, cross‑functional team in a virtual environment

Ability to understand complex interdependencies of solution delivery and support the Product Manager with maintaining and executing against backlogs

Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree

SAFe 6.0 Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification

Nice If You Have:

Experience with Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or Jira

Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Ability to guide and motivate agile teams, facilitate productive meetings, and manage conflicts

Possession of strong leadership skills

Possession of excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem‑solving skills

Top Secret clearance

Master’s degree

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

ITIL Foundations Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
