The Reinsurance Analyst will deliver financial and data requirements to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Reinsurance contract/summary interpretation to define coverage for system entry
Maintain folders with executed contracts and risk transfer analysis and track new and renewals
Arrange premium/claim settlements with reinsurers
Provide reinsurers claim notice/updates in accordance with reporting requirements
Validate ceded entries and adjust when needed
Assist accounting with any cash settlement allocations
Collateral requirements – request new and maintain existing for financial reporting
Audit functions – External (Claims, Underwriting, Transactional), Internal (Controls, financial support for income statement and balance sheet)
Large Losses – provide reinsurance information and gross/net financials to claims and management
Streamlining data analysis and ad hoc reports for management in Power BI for visualizations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably with emphasis in mathematics, finance, accounting, or economics
0-3 years of insurance/reinsurance experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and organize relevant data into actionable analytics
Strong mathematical and statistical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects under conflicting deadlines and changing priorities
Ability to understand and interpret relevant data
Ability to utilize Microsoft office applications
