As a Social Media Strategist on Microsofts Culture & Influence Communications team, you will develop culturally resonant, insight?driven social media strategy for integrated communications campaigns that include PR, web, social, and physical events. Responsibilities Campaign leadership develop end?to?end social strategies (objectives, creative concept, execution, analytics) to contribute to the success of marketing communications campaigns. Integrate social strategy into broader marketing communications plans, leveraging in?feed, community management, collaborations, and paid/earned/owned channels to drive business goals. Proactively advise colleagues on innovative approaches to reach communications goals with social media. Coordinate with outside agency partners to execute strategy, including production timelines, asset delivery, and campaign execution. Ensure adherence to brand voice and tone across all touchpoints. Plan and execute platform?specific strategies for Microsofts flagship social channels. Develop content strategy and creative directiontranslate audience data and insights into compelling social media concepts and partner with creative teams to optimize assets. Analytics and performance define KPIs (engagement, reach, sentiment, conversion) and use analytics tools to monitor performance and inform iterative improvements. Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders via clear reporting and facilitated discussion. Community management and brand safety develop plans for comment moderation, escalation protocols, and social issue management during a campaign.
Qualifications Required
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program or project management, or equivalent experience. 3+ years working for a corporate brand OR 5+ years in social media, communications or public relations within corporate or agency environments. Experience tailoring content strategies to platform?specific algorithms, audience behaviors, and creative formats. Proven track record delivering corporate brand social media campaigns with measurable business outcomes. Experience using major social media platforms and emerging channels for a corporate brand. Experience leveraging cultural trends and platform innovations to inform creative and content decisions. Experience with community management and brand safety. Successful partnership with creative agencies to execute social media plans.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Additional 2+ years experience working with social media platforms. 4+ years in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program or project management, or equivalent experience.
Communications IC3 The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. For the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, the range is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year. Microsoft will accept applications for the role until November 6th, 2025.
