Position Summary Assists the Account Managers in the achievement of whole blood and apheresis collection goals. This is a PRN position.
Essential Functions
Completion of telemarketing functions to educate, thank and sign-up donors for future donations.
Perform on‑site recruitment, sign‑up tables, and donor flow assistance for blood drives.
Help educate and convert donors to double red and platelet donations where appropriate.
Assist marketing efforts through packing, distribution, and inventorying of incentive items, labelling products with recruitment related tags, and telemarketing of sweepstakes winners and donor/recipient meet and greet attendees.
Help with preparation efforts for special events (e.g. contacting invitees for participation lists, setting up gift tables, refreshments, check‑in tables, etc.).
Assist with data entry and organizational needs of the department.
Exemplify CBC's customer service mission and core values.
Other Functions
Makes recommendations to improve organizational processes.
Any related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to three years’ experience in sales and marketing or customer service.
Licenses / Certifications Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Skills & Abilities
Sales and marketing skills
Strong customer service skills both written and verbal
Flexibility and sensitivity to changing demands and priorities.
Strong attention to detail in all work processes.
Ability to work flexible hours with some nights and weekends.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle a variety of complex issues and situations.
Ability to communicate clearly with the general public.
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers in a helpful, courteous, and friendly manner while demonstrating sensitivity to and respect for diverse populations.
Ability to work in a strong team environment.
Ability to be responsive and available to management to address issues and concerns as they arise.
Must be self‑motivated and a self‑starter with good organization skills.
