Job Description
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Landman reporting to the NM Land Manager in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for all aspects of land work within their designated area. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi‑disciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.
General Responsibilities
Works with a multi‑disciplinary team to accomplish goals and objectives within budgetary guidelines
Ensure company drill schedule expectations are met within the asset area with all company disciplines
Perform high‑level land functions without direct supervision
Clear title for drilling locations, staying ahead of a fast‑paced, multi‑rig horizontal schedule
Strategic director in area of responsibility navigating trades and acquisitions
Partner with brokers and attorneys in title and curative matters as appropriate
Interpret, negotiate and prepare land‑related contracts, such as: Oil and Gas leases, operating agreements, farmouts, term assignments and other similar documentation
Interact and provide the asset and operations teams with a high‑level of land support and information critical to ongoing development of properties
Work with the asset team in supporting operations and identifying new areas of improvement
Provide guidance to land support staff
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Demonstrated work experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Landman or similar role
Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
Ability to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance‑driven, team‑oriented environment
Direct land experience in and knowledge of the Permian Basin
