Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Perform, oversee and execute all aspects of business valuation engagements, including development of financial analysis, valuation models, exhibits and reports

Review, analyze and compare valuations of opposing experts

Communicate and work with a broad client base consisting of private equity firms, publicly‑traded companies, venture‑backed companies, etc.

Ability to learn and perform business and derivative valuations using option pricing models and Monte Carlo analysis

Participate in client assignments from beginning to end

Identify and communicate case issues, findings, and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during engagements

Work with discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys and clients

Assist in preparation of exhibits and background information for expert witness testimony

Maintain and comply with highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

Participate in training and developing staff and building a team‑centered client service team; monitor client issues related to compliance services and monitor engagement status and profitability as well as attending to client expectation

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

Experience valuing alternative asset managers such as hedge funds and private equity

Knowledgeable of the relevant statutory and family codes, and their applicability to valuation standards and accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

6 years of experience in business valuation or related field

3 years supervisory experience

Must have active ASA, CFA, CPA or equivalent certification

Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements

Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

Proficient use of applicable technology

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $150,000 - $175,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience and skill set of the individual selected for this position. The compensation above is not representative of an employee’s total compensation.
